We’re distressed by the recent number of cases of animal brutality being filmed and shared on social media.

One of the latest incidents has left us deeply disturbed – a helpless zebra trapped in a piece of wire fencing and unable to escape is brutally hacked to death with an axe while still alive. We believe this was done for the bush meat trade. We are not opposed to the slaughtering of animals for food. What we do oppose is unnecessary cruelty. The level of suffering this animal must have endured is unimaginable.

Our Wildlife Protection Unit (WPU) is currently on the ground investigating this incident. The team has identified the individuals from the video and are currently compiling a docket for submission.
We can’t do this alone…we need your help. If you witness animal cruelty, report it to us immediately. Do not interfere with evidence that may be crucial to receiving justice.

Every case is heart-breaking. Every case takes its toll. Our Inspectors have to relive these horrors over and over again while a case is being investigated. But, we won’t stop fighting . We believe every victim of animal cruelty deserves justice.

We truly appreciate all your support!
