1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is the National Council of Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA), a non-profit organisation registered in South Africa under NPO number 003-189, with its principal place of business at 6 Clark Road, Florentia, Alberton, South Africa.
2. Eligibility
2.1. The competition is open to all South African residents or citizens aged 18 years or older.
2.2. The following persons are not eligible to enter the competition:
- Any director or employee of the NSPCA; or
- Any supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition.
3. Competition Period
The competition will run from 27 March 2026 at 09:00 and will close on 27 May 2026 at 23:59.
Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.
4. How to Enter
4.1. To enter the competition, participants must:
4.1.1. Sign up for the “NSPCA – National Council of SPCAs” MyDifference cause on the Woolworths App.
4.1.2. Submit their registered MyDifference card number and the required contact details via the dedicated competition web page for the purposes of entry tracking and verification.
4.1.3. Ensure that the email address provided corresponds with the email address used to register for the Woolworths App and MyDifference programme, for verification purposes.
4.1.4. Ensure that any referral-based entries attributed to a participant correspond with the contact details used for that participant’s original entry, in order to allow accurate identification and attribution of entries.
4.2. Each valid submission will constitute one (1) entry.
4.3. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter the competition.
4.4. Entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, or contain invalid information may be disqualified at the discretion of the NSPCA.
4.5. Any entries found to contain false, invalid, or fraudulent MyDifference card numbers will be immediately disqualified, and the participant responsible may be permanently excluded from this and any future NSPCA competitions.
5. Prize Package
5.1. The prize package for this competition consists of the following:
5.1.1 Accommodation Prize
A two (2) night stay for up to three (3) people in the Fynbos Pod at 4 Cyphia Close Cabins, Hout Bay, Cape Town.
The prize applies specifically to the Fynbos Pod accommodation unit only and does not include access to or substitution for any other accommodation units at 4 Cyphia Close Cabins.
5.1.2 Kreature Comfort Dog Apparel Bundle
The bundle includes:
- Two (2) dog bowls (one 64 fl oz and one 32 fl oz)
- One (1) dog collar
- One (1) dog harness
- One (1) dog leash
- One (1) dog hoodie
- One (1) dog jacket
5.1.3. These apparel items are available in various sizes, and the winner will be able to select the appropriate sizes to fit their pet.
5.2. The total value of the prize package is R10 022,94.
5.3. The prize is non-transferable, may not be exchanged for cash, and may not be sold or otherwise disposed of by the winner.
5.4. The NSPCA reserves the right to substitute the prize or any component of the prize with an alternative of equal or greater value should circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
6. Accommodation Prize Conditions
6.1. The accommodation prize consists solely of the two (2) night stay at the Fynbos Pod at 4 Cyphia Close Cabins and does not include travel costs, meals, transport, activities, or any additional expenses incurred by the winner.
6.2. The winner will be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of all travel and any additional expenses associated with the stay.
6.3. The accommodation prize is valid for twelve (12) months from the date on which the prize is awarded.
6.4. The prize is valid only for a two (2) night stay.
6.5. The accommodation stay is not valid during the months of January and December.
6.6. Booking requests may not be made more than two (2) months in advance of the intended stay date.
6.7. All bookings are subject to availability at the time of reservation.
6.8. The accommodation booking is non-transferable and may only be booked by the verified competition winner.
7. Winner Selection and Notification
7.1. This competition incorporates a referral-based entry mechanism, whereby participants may earn additional entries through successful referrals.
7.2. Each participant will receive:
7.2.1. One (1) entry for submitting a valid MyDifference card number in accordance with Section 4; and
7.2.2. One (1) additional entry for each new participant they successfully refer to the competition, provided that the referred participant:
- submits a valid entry; and
- correctly identifies the referring participant in the designated referral field on the competition entry form.
7.3. A referral will only be considered valid if:
- the referred participant submits their own unique MyDifference card number; and
- the referral is recorded at the time of entry via the official competition platform.
7.4. Participants may accumulate multiple entries through successful referrals. There is no limit to the number of additional entries a participant may receive through referrals, provided all entries are valid.
7.5. Self-referrals are not permitted. Any attempt by a participant to refer themselves, submit duplicate entries, or otherwise manipulate the referral system may result in disqualification.
7.6. The NSPCA reserves the right to verify all entries and referrals and to disqualify any entries that are:
- incomplete, invalid, or fraudulent;
- associated with duplicate or suspicious activity; or
- not compliant with these Terms and Conditions.
7.7. The winner(s) will be selected through a random draw conducted from all valid entries received during the competition period.
7.8. Each valid entry will constitute one (1) chance to be selected in the draw, meaning that participants with multiple entries will have a proportionally higher chance of winning.
7.9. The draw process will be conducted in a manner that is fair, transparent, and auditable, in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Protection Act.
7.10. The NSPCA’s decision regarding the selection of the winner is final and binding.
7.11. Winners will be notified via email, phone call, and/or social media within seven (7) working days after the competition closes.
7.12. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond, or does not accept the prize within fourteen (14) working days of being notified, the NSPCA reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
8. Data Use and Privacy
8.1. By entering the competition, participants acknowledge and consent that their MyDifference card number may be shared by the NSPCA with Woolworths solely for verification purposes, including confirming the validity of the card number and that the NSPCA has been selected as the beneficiary under the MyDifference programme.
8.2. No additional personal information will be shared.
8.3. All personal information collected and processed in connection with this competition will be handled in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
9. Publicity
9.1. By entering the competition, participants agree that their name, image, and/or social media handle may be used by the NSPCA for marketing, publicity, or promotional purposes in connection with this competition.
9.2. Participants have the right to decline the use of their personal information for publicity purposes.
9.3. If a winner does not consent to publicity, the NSPCA will respect their request and will not publish their personal details or images.
9.4. No compensation will be provided for publicity unless required by law
10. General Conditions
10.1. The NSPCA reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time, where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
10.2. The NSPCA is not responsible for:
- Technical errors, lost, delayed, or misdirected entries;
- Incorrect or incomplete information supplied by participants; or
- Any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the competition or the
use of the prize, except where caused by the NSPCA’s negligence.
10.3. Prize suppliers and partners associated with this competition, including but not limited to 4 Cyphia Close Cabins and Kreature Comfort, are not responsible for the administration of the competition and shall not be liable for any claims arising from participation in the competition or the use of the prize.
11. Legal Compliance
11.1 This competition is conducted as a promotional competition in terms of Section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“CPA”).
11.2. Any provision of these Terms and Conditions found to conflict with the CPA shall be interpreted in a manner that ensures compliance with the Act.
11.3. By entering the competition, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
