To the NSPCA, education is about much more than just simply transferring knowledge. It is about changing how people think about animals and consequently how they care for them.
Humane education challenges outdated, purely utilitarian views on animals and encourages animal owners to at the least, treat animals with compassion and kindness and at best as the sentient beings they are. Our educational material takes a foundational and practical approach in illustrating to owners the basic requirements of animal welfare as required by legislation.
